WHY IT MATTERS

Keeping a record of beans, roasters and brews usually means the data lives on someone else’s server. Roastbook is meant to run on your own, and a single photo of the bag fills in origin, variety and roast level; typing a roaster’s name looks up its site and location. A quick brew log takes three numbers.

BUILD FROM THIS

It runs on PostgreSQL and your own storage, deployed with one Docker Compose command or a Helm chart. The AI features that read a label or research a roaster turn on once OPENAI_API_KEY is set; everything else works without a key. The repository states there are no accounts, no telemetry and no upsell.
