WHY IT MATTERS

2048 is a puzzle about merging numbers and Minesweeper is a puzzle about deducing danger; 2049 fuses them into one board. Every move slides the whole dungeon, you included, by 2048 rules, while invisible mines sit like walls in the dark — probing a neighbouring cell reveals a number clue instead of the mine itself.

BUILD FROM THIS

Written in Python, with uv managing every dependency. The same core.py runs in the terminal (uv run game) and in the browser (uv run game-web, running Python as WebAssembly through Pyodide). Best scores are saved locally — in localStorage in the browser, in a local file in the terminal.
